Imagine waking up every day in one of the oldest parts of Amsterdam. The apartments are each about 64 square meters in size, have 2 bedrooms and have been completely and meticulously renovated. The second floor is available immediately and the second floor is expected in mid-July. Both are available for rent now.

You enter the apartment through the shared stairwell. The living area is at the front, and in the middle is a luxury kitchen with kitchen island. The apartment has a separate toilet and a luxury bathroom with walk-in shower. The bedrooms are located at the rear, both accessed through beautiful steel sliding doors. The right bedroom offers access to the terrace.

HISTORY

The building at Kromme Waal 20 is a monumental canal house from the 17th century. The Kromme Waal is one of the oldest canals in Amsterdam and was developed in the 17th century during a period of tremendous growth and prosperity for the city.

"Het Behouden Huys" refers to the winter cabin of Willem Barentsz and his crew on Nova Zembla. During their third expedition north, they became stranded in the ice and were forced to spend the winter in a makeshift house called "Het Behouden Huys." Their voyage of survival is an important part of Dutch maritime history.
